I made my first visit to Haystack Mountain School of Crafts for an inflatables workshop with Anna Hepler in 2011. Her teaching methodology, and the mediums we engaged with, permanently altered and expanded how I thought about art + context.

During and after this workshop, I began making work that engaged with its environment. In most cases, the physical work could not live unless it was outside, embedded in the landscape and natural elements. Though most of my documentation is photographs and videos, which can live inside (digitally and physically).
