Woven / Reed
Reed gives, holds, pushes back. These baskets are defined by bending and tension — and like the inflatables, they live outside, in the elements. But where those works fill and strain against their skins, the baskets are open and porous. I leave them unfinished, which allows them to move more freely and integrate into the landscape rather than sit apart from it.
They are a focal point, but not a dominant one. Their openness invites the body in — and through that inhabitation, the landscape becomes felt rather than seen.
